Terms of Use

These Terms of Use govern access to billmaster.ca, BillMaster apps, and the services used to view and pay restaurant bills through participating venues.

These Terms of Use form an agreement between you and BillMaster Inc., a company based in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. By accessing billmaster.ca or using BillMaster apps, interfaces, or services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

Scope of Services

BillMaster provides a platform that may allow users to view bills, track orders, complete payments, interact with participating restaurants, and access related features through web and mobile experiences.

Permitted Use

  • You must use BillMaster only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms.
  • You must not disrupt, damage, circumvent, or attempt to compromise the security or operation of the platform.
  • You must not use BillMaster to access bills, tables, accounts, or data that are not intended for you.
  • You remain responsible for the accuracy of information you provide and for activity carried out from your device or session.

Payments and Transactions

  • Payments made through BillMaster may be processed by third-party payment providers.
  • You are responsible for reviewing bill amounts, tips, and selections before confirming a transaction.
  • The participating restaurant remains responsible for bill content, products, services, taxes, refunds, and its own commercial policies unless expressly stated otherwise.
  • BillMaster may provide confirmations, receipts, or transaction status updates, but does not guarantee the absence of errors originating from third-party systems, restaurant systems, or payment networks.

Availability

We make reasonable efforts to keep the services available, but BillMaster may be modified, suspended, or interrupted from time to time for maintenance, updates, security reasons, outages, or events beyond our control.

Intellectual Property

The website, apps, text, marks, logos, interfaces, visuals, and software components of BillMaster are protected by applicable law and remain the property of BillMaster Inc. or its licensors. Unless expressly authorized, you may not copy, modify, redistribute, reverse engineer, disassemble, or commercially exploit them.

Third-Party Content and Services

BillMaster may integrate or rely on content, POS systems, payment gateways, analytics tools, or other services operated by third parties. We do not control all third-party services and are not responsible for their acts, omissions, or policies.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, BillMaster Inc. will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of revenue, data, goodwill, or business opportunity arising from or related to the use of, or inability to use, the services.

To the extent permitted by law, BillMaster Inc.'s total liability for any claim related to the services will not exceed the amount you paid directly to BillMaster for the specific service at issue during the twelve months before the claim arose, or fifty Canadian dollars if no such payment was made directly to BillMaster.

Indemnity

You agree to indemnify BillMaster Inc. against claims, losses, costs, and expenses arising from your breach of these Terms, your unlawful use of the services, or your infringement of any third-party rights.

Suspension and Termination

We may suspend or restrict access to BillMaster where we reasonably believe that use violates these Terms, creates a security risk, breaks the law, or harms the platform, our partners, or other users.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Quebec and the federal laws of Canada applicable in Quebec, without regard to conflict of law principles. Subject to applicable law, the courts of the judicial district of Montreal, Quebec will have jurisdiction over disputes relating to these Terms or the services.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Use from time to time. The version posted on the site, together with its last updated date, applies from the time it is posted.
